Three new stakes have been created.

Elder James E. Faust of the Council of the Twelve created the Centerville Utah Canyon View Stake, which includes the Centerville 2nd, Centerville 8th, Centerville 9th, Centerville 10th, Centerville 20th and Rolling Hills wards.Elder John H. Groberg of the Seventy created the Lancaster California East Stake, which includes the Edwards, El Dorado, Joshua, Lake Los Angeles, Mojave, North Edwards and Tierra Bonita wards.

Elder Charles Didier of the Seventy created the Lima Peru Chosica Stake, which includes the Chaclacayo, Chosica, Moroni, Moyopampa and Puente Palomar wards and the El Sol, Huaycan, Moron, Nana and Pierola branches.

Elsewhere, stakes were reorganized in Australia, Brazil, the Philippines and in California, Rhode Island and Utah

CENTERVILLE UTAH CANYON VIEW STAKE: (May 12, 1991) Created from the Centerville Utah and Centerville Utah North stakes. President - Bruce Garrett Pitt, 47, dentist, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, stake Young Men president's counselor, bishop, ward Young Men president, branch president's counselor, and seminary teacher, married Linda Rae Marshall. Counselors - Harry Albert Haycock, 56, senior vice president of power company, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop and counselor, and high priest group leader, married Shirley Fay Berry; John Michael Schaff, 47, deputy auditor general for Utah State Legislature, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, and gospel doctrine teacher, married Bonnie Thorup.

LANCASTER CALIFORNIA EAST STAKE: (May 19, 1991) Created from the Palmdale California and Lancaster California stakes. President - John Milloy Martz, 48, teacher, former bishop, married Rae Crossley. Counselors - DeLewis Oliverson Porter, 42, pilot, former stake president's counselor, stake seventies president, and bishop's counselor, married Kristene Gibbs; Thomas Allen Jay, 40, teacher, former bishop, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president, and gospel doctrine teacher, married Teri Ann Duns.

LIMA PERU CHOSICA STAKE: (May 5, 1991) Created from the Lima Peru Vitarte and Lima Peru Las Flores stakes. President - Ricardo Enrique Lazo Torres, 39, business owner, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, married Juana Gloria Salazar Vargas. Counselors - Ezequiel Huaman Lopez, 36, maintenance company owner, former high councilor, bishop's counselor, and branch president, married Violeta Catalina Lopez Abad; Elias Rolando Alfaro Fuertes, 36, motor technician, former high councilor, bishop, and branch president's counselor, married Elsita Consuelo Otiniano Pesantes.
