      The First Presidency has announced the call of a new mission president for the newly created Australia Sydney North Mission, effective Jan. 1. (See story on page 3.)

      Glenn L. Pace, 52, Bountiful 13th Ward, Bountiful Utah North Stake; member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and former second counselor in Presiding Bishopric; previously served as a counselor in a bishopric, elders quorum president, stake financial clerk, and teachers and priests quorum adviser; served in New England States Mission, 1960-62; before called as a General Authority was managing director of Church Welfare Services Department; earned master's and bachelor's degrees in accounting from BYU; born in Provo, Utah, a son of Kenneth LeRoy and Elizabeth Anna Wilde Pace; married Jolene Clayson, and they have six children. She is a ward Primary counselor, former Relief Society counselor and Young Women president; attended Southern Utah University; born in Provo, Utah, a daughter of Joseph Cardon and Winnifred Farr Clayson.
