The Church recently donated 41,000 pounds of food to the Crisis Ministries Center here. Commodities included beef roast, ground beef, dried milk, flour, macaroni and cheese mix, rice and beans.
"This is the largest single donation the Food Rescue Program has received since it began in 1989," said Director Katiri A. Berry. The Church donated the 20 tons of food after learning of the regular participation of Bishop Larry Weatherford and members of the Crowfield Ward, Charleston South Carolina Stake, with the North Charleston's Good Neigbor Center. More than 30 members of the ward and stake assisted in unloading the supplies.
