Primary members of the McLean 2nd Ward, McLean Virginia Stake, celebrated the Pioneer Sesquicentennial by helping construct a replica of the Nauvoo Temple. The replica, which was large enough for several children to enter at the same time, was constructed of wood.

Brian Doll, with assistance from John Lund, designed and supervised the construction of the model. The children helped with tasks such as painting.
