The First Presidency has called Jerry F. Twitchell to preside over the Brazil Missionary Training Center.

Pres. Twitchell, 65, and his wife, Patricia Lynne Grover Twitchell, are the parents of five children and members of the Bountiful 17th Ward, Bountiful Utah East Stake. A gospel doctrine teacher, he is a former president of the Brazil Curitiba Mission, a counselor in a stake and mission presidency, bishop, and high councilor. He recently retired as an auditor for the Church Educational System. Sister Twitchell, a Relief Society instructor, served with her husband in the Brazil Curitiba Mission, and as Relief Society president's counselor, compassionate service leader, visiting teacher coordinator and Young Women adviser.
