Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

Jon and Evona Beesley

Jon Stephan Beesley, 60, and Evona (SuuzE) Christensen Beesley, six children, Russia St. Petersburg Mission; Burleson Ward, Fort Worth Texas Stake. Brother Beesley is a former stake president, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, ward Young Men president, and elders quorum president. Retired Experimental Test Pilot, Lockheed Martin Aero. Born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Charles Emer and Shirley Arvilla Beesley.

Sister Beesley currently serves on a stake activities committee and is a former seminary teacher, ward Primary president, ward Primary music leader, ward nursery leader, ward Primary teacher, ward Young Women music leader, and member of a ward activities committee. Born in Burley, Idaho, to Martell Wilburn and Cleo Marchant Christensen.

Debra A. and Douglas B. Carter

Douglas Bruce Carter, 57, and Debra Ann Chytraus Carter, four children, Argentina Buenos Aires West Mission; Eustis Ward, Leesburg Florida Stake. Brother Carter currently serves as a stake president and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, branch president, ward Young Men president, ward executive secretary, seminary teacher, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the Andes Peru Mission. Former Executive Vice President and CFO, DIRECTV Latin America. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bruce Lester and Beverly June Coles Carter.

Sister Carter is a former stake Primary president, ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary music leader, seminary teacher, and Church service missionary. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Fred Gordon and Barbara Olive Neal Chytraus.

Christy B. and Dan L. Dyer

Dan Lynn Dyer, 63, and Christy Bagley Dyer, five children, Bolivia Chochabamba Mission; Galena Ward, Reno Nevada Stake. Brother Dyer currently serves as a ward Young Men president and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, stake Young Men president, stake executive secretary, bishop, high priests group leader, assistant Scoutmaster, and missionary in the North Argentine Mission. Owner, Dyer Engineering Consultants. Born in Crawford, Nebraska, to Wilbert Lorn and Alma Elizabeth Ruth Hamaker Dyer.

Sister Dyer currently serves as a seminary teacher and is a former stake Relief Society president, counselor in a ward Primary presidency, ward Young Women adviser, ward Relief Society president, and ward Young Women president. Born in Afton, Wyoming, to Floyd Severn and Rosa Vivian Call Bagley.

Larry and Cathy Gelwix

David Larry Gelwix, 60, and Cathyren Hales Gelwix, five children, California Fresno Mission; Olympus 5th Ward, Salt Lake Olympus Stake. Brother Gelwix currently serves as a high priests group instructor and is a former bishop, high councilor, ward Sunday School teacher, ward Young Single Adult adviser, ward Young Men president, ward Young Men adviser, and missionary in the Central States Mission. CEO, Columbus Travel. Born in Oakland, California, to Kenneth Jr. and Betty Jo Mercer Gelwix.

Sister Gelwix currently serves as a ward family history consultant and is a former ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, member of a ward Relief Society enrichment committee, Cub Scout leader, ward Young Single Adult adviser, and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Payson, Utah, to Don Barnett and Afton King Hales.

Laurel and James W. Hart

James Walter Hart, 59, and Laurel Jean Smith Hart, five children, Brazil Salvador Mission; Rosecrest 1st Ward, Salt Lake Canyon Rim Stake. Brother Hart currently serves as a counselor in a stake presidency and is a former high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, scoutmaster, ward Young Men president, and missionary in the Brazil North Mission. Self-employed dentist. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Neal Wayne and Donna Mae Peterson Hart.

Sister Hart currently serves as a counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and is a former stake Primary president, ward Relief Society teacher, ward Relief Society education counselor, ward Young Women president, ward choir director, ward Primary president, and ward Relief Society homemaking counselor. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Stanley George and Leola Elizabeth Yates Smith.

Carlos A. and Ana Hernandez

Carlos Alejandro Hernández Hernández, 50, and Ana Berta Rivas Orellana de Hernández, three children, Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission; Valle Nuevo Ward, San Salvador El Salvador Ilopango Stake. Brother Hernández currently serves as a ward Sunday School president and is a former counselor in the El Salvador San Salvador East Mission, stake president, high councilor, branch president, institute supervisor, and missionary in the Guatemala Guatemala City Mission. Employee service center manager, Welfare Department, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop. Born in Santa Ana, San Salvador, El Salvador, to Rigoberto Hernández Flores and Luisa Yolanda Hernández.

Sister Hernández currently serves as a ward Relief Society president and is a former stake employment specialist, ward Relief Society teacher, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, seminary teacher, and missionary in the Guatemala Quetzaltenango Mission. Born in Soyapango, San Salvador, El Salvador, to Jose Gustavo Rivas and Aleandra Cruz Orellana.

Julie Ann and H. Benson Lewis

H. Benson Lewis, 62, and Julie Ann Farnes Lewis, six children, California Sacramento Mission; Lone Hollow Ward, Sandy Utah Crescent Stake. Brother Lewis currently serves as a high priest group leader and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, high priest group leader, gospel doctrine teacher, ward Young Men president, and missionary in the Ireland Mission. Vice chairman and executive vice president, Savage Companies. Born in Preston, Idaho, to Robert Moss and Carmen Benson Lewis.
