The Deseret News called it a game for the ages on Nov. 17 when the BYU women's soccer team played Marquette in a match that was scoreless through regulation and two overtime periods. In the end, BYU finally pulled it out with a shootout kick by sophomore Kayla Varner. This win advances BYU to the Elite Eight.

"This was a huge game. It was a battle and there was obviously a ton of emotion for both teams," said BYU coach Jennifer Rockwood. "I thought the girls just stood in there and weathered the storm and we came away with the win."
