  • Relief Society founding commemoration in birthplace, Nauvoo

    March 17, 2011, a day to celebrate the birth of the Relief Society, was warm but cloudy in Nauvoo.

    At the stroke of 10 a.m., the procession moved forward under a brilliant cobalt blue sky to mark the 165th anniversary of the beginning of the Saints' exodus from Nauvoo on Feb. 4.
  • Nauvoo Pageant 2011 audition

    Professional-quality actors are being sought to fill 20 core cast roles in the summer 2011 Nauvoo Pageant. Ten men's roles, nine women's roles and one role for a young man are available. Adult ages are from 20s through 60s.
  • Spiritual feast in Red Brick Store

    On the 166th anniversary of the organization of the Relief Society March 17, sister missionaries serving in the Nauvoo Mission experienced a "spiritual feast" at their Commemoration Celebration on the upper floor of the restored Red Brick Store, where in 1842, it all began with charity.
